Gaolcat

A Dungeon God for October. The term "thief" is intended in a broader, non-classed sense. Any character may gain the blessing of the Gaolcat, provided they are one who steals. ***  A thief well-versed in esoterica, left to die in the prisons beneath the earth, will begin to construct a shrine to the Gaolcat out of stone, scraps, and detritus. Gaolcat shrines have a feline likeness, a sly and even smile, and two silver coins for eyes. They are found in prison cells and cages. To make a prayer to the Gaolcat, kill a rat with your teeth and leave it at the foot of the shrine. To gain the blessing of the Gaolcat, you must be stripped of all belongings, locked in the cat's cell, and left to die. Subsist off of rats. If any would seek to free you, hiss and spit until they leave you in peace. If the Gaolcat smiles upon you,   you will slip free of your confines. If it does not, you will die. This spiritual isolation takes 1d6 weeks. During this process, the thief must save as if...

Dungeon Fruits

Some fruits that grow in dungeons. A dungeon fruit which is exposed to sunlight withers and contorts, becoming permanently inert and stonelike. While in this state, they can still be identified by those versed in plant-lore. ***  Angelberries: Grow on bushes which flower from rotting corpses, on pale plants which curl whimsically. These berries are a warm orange-gold colour. Their flavor is bitter, and confers upon the eater one memory from the corpse which sprung them. Dragontongue:   Grow in exposed volcanic soil, deep within the earth. A bush will have 1d6+2. Dragontongues are long, coiling peppers, with an orange-red coloration. Consumption burns, turning saliva scalding hot, and inflicting 1d6 points of damage. However, after this, the eater finds themself magically imbued for 2d6 turns, becoming immune to mundane fire, and resisting magical fire as if under the effects of a  Potion of Fire Resistance. Oaken Milkfruit: Grow where the roots of an oak tree punc...

The Pale Keep

A grand construction of marble, more sepulcher then castle. Standing stark against rocky peaks, it gleams in the sunlight. The surrounding earth is dry and cracked. Nothing grows for miles around. Supply wagons arrive monthly, laden with plunder, sustaining the castle's men.

The Paper-Maker

A dungeon god . For a zine I'm working on.

Declare Yourselves!

Variant reaction roll for when you arrive at a settlement in an 'iron age' type game. I'm not a historian, this is primarily inspired by Beowulf , when he and his company come across Hrothgar's men.

The Elemental Plane(t)s

This is my contribution to the 'Elements' Blog Bandwagon from the Prismatic Wasteland Discord server! [Edit: all the posts from the Blog Bandwagon can be found collected here! ] I've never been the biggest fan of the elemental planes, and I wanted to re-imagine them as something that excited me. For a while I've been interested in the idea of mapping them onto planets.
